What is Powerlifting?
Powerlifting is an individualized strength sport in which competitors attempt to lift as much weight as possible for one repetition in Squat, Bench and Deadlift.

How does it work at SFCF?
This class is open to all members of San Francisco CrossFit. This is a one-hour class that focuses primarily on instructing and improving strength and execution of the big three lifts of squat, deadlift and bench along with accessory work. Most athletes will attend class two to three times a week to get the most out of the programming. This is suggested but not needed to come and focus on building strength in any of the lifts.

Programming varies on a weekly basis and is done for the class as a whole, with the exception of needed modifications for individual athletes. Please arrive early to warm-up, mobilize, and gear-up before class. In each class athletes can expect to squat, deadlift, bench, perform upper & lower body accessory work and finish with abs. If you lift in wraps, lifting shoes and/or wear a belt please feel free to bring this equipment with you.

Class times are as follows:
Monday – 6:30am & 5pm
Tuesday – 7pm
Wednesday – 6:30am & 5pm
Thursday – 7pm
Sunday Powerhour – 10am
Fees: $30 daily drop-in fee if not already a member.
