What year did you start CrossFitting?

I have been a lifelong competitive athlete and for the past 27 years in the field of mountain trail ultra marathons. I came to ultra marathons from ultra distance triathlons and found the community along the mountainous trails was unparalleled in its spirit and generosity which was immensely attractive.

Why did you become a trainer?

Kelly Starrett asked me if I would be interested in developing a Running Program for SFCF. I accepted the challenge. In the end I enjoy service to another and find the experience quite fulfilling.

What’s your favorite CrossFit movement?

Deadlifting and Box Jumping

What is your favorite cheat food?
