Lara Buelow

Lara did her first ever CrossFit workout in an Earthship in the desert of Taos, New Mexico overseen by her friend Paul America (yes, that is his real name.) Paul’s enthusiasm for the CrossFit philosophy proved infectious and upon returning to San Francisco in 2011, Lara immediately looked up San Francisco CrossFit. Returning to the Bay Area, Lara worked at the Marin Headlands Hostel for a year, commuting by bicycle over the Golden Gate Bridge to work out in the Parking Lot of Dreams. As she learned more about CrossFit and fell in love with the SFCF community, she sought ways to get more involved. After getting her CrossFit Level 1 certification, Lara applied for the Office Manager position and is now living her own dream, educating others on how to become a supple leopard at San Francisco CrossFit.

Lara currently lives in San Francisco, California. She is an office manager, as well as an artist, mostly entertaining hand-crafted snail mail, and a cycling fanatic (of the touring and joy-riding variety). She enjoys practicing gymnastics skills and doing sweaty metcons to 80’s dance music with the rowdy crew at SFCF.
